I attended a service you held at our church on July 27, 2003. At the end of the service you called people forward who needed divine favor from the Lord and a "strategy" in dealing with financial problems we were going through at the time. I went up for prayer. Here was my problem:
My car had been rear-ended by a drunk driver traveling at about 70 mph on the freeway, doing $4,000.00 worth of damage. My daughter was driving the car at the time. The other driver did stop but would not give her insurance information; she did, however, get his vehicle license plate number.
She misplaced the information, with two results: my auto insurance company refused to pay for our damages and the accident report was filed 1 month later, after she found the information. The delay made it more difficult for the authorities to track the offender. To complicate matters, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) couldn't decide whose jurisdiction the accident was in, and the report was passed back and forth for 1 more month. I spent many hours making numerous calls and visits to the Highway Patrol offices trying to settle the matter. Finally the investigating officer told me there was nothing more he could do; he had called in the individual whose license plate number we had given him, and there was no evidence of damage to his truck, etc. So, that's when I went up for prayer. I prayed, "Lord, please give me a strategy and I really need favor. I'm going to the CHP one more time. I don't even know what to ask them for because they've already said there was nothing they could do." The next morning, Monday, before I could even phone the CHP Office, my daughter called to tell me the investigating officer had just called her to say they had tracked down the offender. They were able to trace him because he had filed a claim with his insurance company to repair his truck.
I thank the Lord for justice, for making it possible to fix my car and for answering prayer!
